"I live the life I love, I love the life I live"
I grew up in Chilliwack, British Columbia and I am so proud to call this city my home. I have been active in the entertainment industry in the Fraser Valley for over thirty years, performing
all over the province since age 15.
*
After graduating high school, I pursued the business side of the industry, moving into pub / nightclub marketing & management. I was fortunate to work with great mentors who taught me the good (and bad) of the industry and how to effectively host events and book live entertainment.
*
As the 1980s ended and the club business virtually vanished in the dust, I returned to live music. I carved out a niche for myself writing computer backing tracks and performing a "one man band" solo show, and for the next 25 years, I booked myself 300 shows a year all over the province, from backyard BBQ's to weddings & corporate events, I played them all!
*
Looking for something new, in 2012, I took a full-time hotel gig five nights a week at the Harrison Hotel Copper Room singing and playing guitar in a jazz quartet. After over 800 shows there, I resigned from full time performing in to focus on the community work I truly missed, and a weekly radio show I had developed. I still hire out to emcee and perform for special events and host my weekly radio show on Star 98.3 FM, celebrating 13 years on the air as of February 2025.
*
I continue to work hard supporting our city and arts community. As of March 1st 2021, I took on the role as Executive Director for the Downtown Chilliwack Business Improvement Association, representing over 350 businesses. I have served on the Chilliwack Community Arts Council Board, the Chilliwack Public Arts Committee and the Chilliwack Heritage Festival Board.
*
I am so proud to have received the Stan Rogers Legacy Award from the Chamber of Commerce in 2017 and an honorary Paul Harris Fellowship Award from the Chilliwack Rotary Club in 2018 for service to the community.
